AI Coding Educator is a free educational website for learning practical web development. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected when you use the site, how that information is used, and how third-party services used by the site handle information.

Information We Collect

AI Coding Educator does not require an account to use its lessons, AI tools, or code sandbox. You do not need to provide your name, email address, or other contact information to use the site.

Website Analytics

AI Coding Educator uses Google Analytics to understand how the site is used and to help improve its content and performance. Google Analytics may collect information such as pages visited, session information, approximate location, browser type, device information, and similar usage data. Google Analytics may also use first-party cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions.

You can learn more about Google’s privacy practices in the Google Privacy Policy. Google also provides a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

AI Tutor and AI Help

AI Coding Educator uses OpenAI’s API to provide features such as the AI Tutor and AI Help. When you submit a question, code, or other content to an AI-powered feature, that content and any relevant context needed to answer the request are sent to OpenAI for processing.

Do not include private, confidential, sensitive, or personally identifying information in questions or code submitted to AI features. OpenAI’s handling of information is described in its Privacy Policy and its business data privacy information.

Saved Code Sandbox Projects

The code sandbox can save projects in your browser using local storage. Saved project data remains on your device and is not automatically uploaded to the AI Coding Educator website database. You can remove saved projects through the sandbox or by clearing site data in your browser.

If you choose to use an AI feature to analyze or ask a question about your code, the code and question needed for that request may be sent to OpenAI for processing.

Server and Security Logs

Like most websites, the site’s hosting and security infrastructure may automatically record technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, requested pages, timestamps, and error information. This information may be used to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and maintain the site.

How Information Is Used

Information collected through the site may be used to:

  • Operate and maintain the website and its tools.
  • Understand which pages and features are useful to visitors.
  • Improve site performance, usability, lessons, and educational tools.
  • Generate responses from AI-powered features when you request them.
  • Detect errors, abuse, or security problems.

AI Coding Educator does not sell personal information and does not use visitor information to serve targeted advertising.

Cookies and Local Storage

Google Analytics may use cookies or similar browser technologies for analytics. The code sandbox uses local storage to provide the saved-project feature. Local storage used for saved projects is functional storage and is not used by AI Coding Educator to track you across other websites.

You can control or delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Disabling browser storage may prevent some site features from working as intended.

Third-Party Services

AI Coding Educator relies on third-party services to provide certain functionality. These include OpenAI for AI-powered features, Google Analytics for website analytics, and hosting or infrastructure providers needed to deliver and secure the site. These providers may process information according to their own terms and privacy practices.

The site may also link to other websites. AI Coding Educator is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of websites operated by other organizations.

Data Retention

Saved sandbox projects remain in your browser until you delete them or clear the site’s stored browser data. Information processed by Google Analytics, OpenAI, hosting providers, or other third-party services is retained according to the settings, terms, and policies that apply to those services. Technical server or security logs may be retained as reasonably necessary for site operation, troubleshooting, and security.

Children’s Privacy

AI Coding Educator is designed for learners of different ages, including young learners working with a parent or teacher. The site does not require an account or ask learners to provide a name or email address in order to use the lessons and tools.

Young users should not enter their name, contact information, location, school information, or other personal information into the AI Tutor, AI Help, code examples, or other interactive features. Parents and teachers should supervise younger learners when they use AI-powered features.

  • You can delete saved sandbox projects or clear the site’s local storage through your browser.
  • You can block or delete analytics cookies through your browser settings.
  • You can use Google’s Analytics opt-out tools if you do not want your visits measured by Google Analytics.
  • You can choose not to submit questions or code to AI-powered features.

Security

Reasonable measures are used to operate and maintain the site securely. However, no website, internet transmission, or online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
